Welcome to the 1st Congregational Church of Stonington

Welcome, and thank you for visiting our website. We hope you find it inviting and useful for the information you seek.

The First Congregational Church of Stonington has been a place of prayer and refuge for nearly three hundred years. We are the oldest church in Stonington and the seventh oldest Congregational church in Connecticut. Our affiliation is with the National Association of Congregational Churches. We are autonomous, which means our pastors are chosen by the local church. We believe that Jesus is Lord, and our services reflect our love for Him and each other. We enjoy regular fellowship with our brothers and sister in Christ through monthly coffee hours, potluck luncheons, and other social events.

We invite you to worship with us on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. Sunday School meets at 10:20 a.m. Our buildings are handicap accessible.

More information about our church, our programs, and use of our buildings may be found by browsing our website.
Yours in Christ
Pastor Ron

Facilities Use

If your Club, Group or Civic organization is looking for an ideal venue to hold your next meeting, consider The Parish House at The Road Church.  A well-equipped kitchen is available.  The Parish House also has a lounge (with a fire place) which will accommodate up to 65 people. It’s perfect for receptions, arts and crafts classes, Board or committee meetings and so much more.  We also have a gymnasium facility with a ½ basketball court great for games, dancing, or larger parties.   The Parish House uses are limited only by your imagination.  For more information or to reserve your date contact either Bill Salancy at 860-536-3850 or Reverend Ron Lake at 860-428-3460.

Note: Be sure to check out our Events schedule, so you don't miss what is going on.
